Concord – Goodwill Industries of Northern New England and Familystrength have announced their intentions to formally affiliate in the coming months. By bringing resources and talent together, Goodwill Industries of Northern New England and Familystrength will continue to meet the needs of those currently served with their shared commitment to quality of services and successful outcomes. The affiliation will likewise create opportunities for growth in existing programs and new arenas.
“There are still details to be worked through, but we are optimistic about the outcome,” noted Michael Coughlin, CEO of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England. “We are thrilled to be joining our resources and talent to continue the great work that Familystrength has been doing for the people of New Hampshire for the past 25 years.” Familystrength's President and Board Chair Robert Bersak added, "The need for services by the citizens of New Hampshire has grown significantly in recent months, while the resources to support those needs have diminished. We view the affiliation of Familystrength with Goodwill Industries of Northern New England as a way of ensuring that Familystrength's services will continue to be available state-wide."
