Secret Santa Gives Away $10,000 at Goodwill
A Secret Santa made the day of one hundred total strangers Tuesday night, giving each a one hundred dollar bill. The Santa, who wants to remain anonymous, says he wanted to give to others in need this holiday.
The Santa handed out envelopes with the cash inside at the Goodwill store in Portland.
Those receiving the envelope, at first, had no idea what was inside.
Many said the gift will help them buy gifts for their own families this year who would have otherwise gone without.
Santa handed out a total of ten thousand dollars as people entered the store.
News 13 broadcast the event live at 6pm. That sent a massive amount of people to the store, many saying they could use the extra help during these tough economic times.
Some even gave Santa hugs, while everyone thanked him for his generosity.
