Now you Know: ReConnect Computer Recycling

From the Concord Monitor

YOU’VE JUST bought a new computer and don’t know where to discard your old one. The ad you posted on Craigslist hasn’t gotten any nibbles, and the trash man won’t take it. One solution: Schlep it to Goodwill.

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England will take any computer off your hands, whether it works or not. Goodwill, through its partnership with Dell, accepts PCs, laptops, netbooks and computer accessories for recycling. There’s no charge, and the donation is tax-deductible.

Goodwill operates 25 thrift shops in Northern New England, including one at 204 Loudon Road in Concord. For more information, go to goodwillnne.org/donate.

  1. We have started a community recycling program in Washington County
we have 1 day a month when we go out and pick up our residents recycling.
We would like to incorporate e-waste. For now we have to pay for
leaving them at our local landfill so it is not cost effective for us
to pick up Computers. In our trash business we do pick up e-waste but have to charge extra. We would love to be able to provide computer recycling for free during our normal recycling route. Is this something you could help us with. we are approx 72 miles from your location.

We also get a lot of clothes and furniture from our preservation business but have no where to store it.
