The Community Resource Corps is a 43 person (full time) AmeriCorps program placing individual AmeriCorps Members with host sites throughout Maine. The team of AmeriCorps Members works with local non-profits, municipalities and schools to help them engage volunteers within their organization and programs. Each AmeriCorps Member is placed with an organization that fits within the Maine Commissions issue areas of focus. The Community Resource Corps provides a compensation package to the AmeriCorps Member worth approximately $18,000. The host site agrees to provide a cash match to the Community Resource Corps which is about half that amount (reference the RFP for the exact cash match amount for agencies to provide for a position). The host site is also responsible for providing for the daily supervisory needs of the Member and ensuring that the AmeriCorps Member works on engaging volunteers in furthering the mission of the organization.
