With Spring well on it way and promises of 60 F degree days on the horizon, biking has been on mind.
And just in time! Spring is the season of bike swaps and I found a few scheduled in northern New England over the next few weeks. If you know of any bike swap events in your area, please leave us a comment and I will add them to the list!
1. The 2009 Great Maine Bike Swap
If you are on the hunt for new bike, need to swap out your old bike, or would like to oogle thousands of bikes at once, make sure you are at this event. The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is hosting this event on the followings days:
April 19, 2009:
University of Maine, Student Recreation and Fitness Center, Orono, 10am - 2pm

2. Portsmouth Bike Swap at Papa Wheelies![]()

If you live in the Seacoast area, don’t miss out on this event! The event is at Papa Wheelie’s and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Seacoast Area Bicycle Routes (SABR), a non-profit advocacy group for cyclists in New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
3. Earl’s Famous Bike Swap Sale

Can’t make it out to the Bike Swap? Do you have an old bicycle to donate? You can drop them off at any our Goodwill retail stores! Please keep an eye on the blog, as we have some posts coming up about bike repair, bike shop recommendations, and more!












The first ever bike swap for Concord is happening June 26-28!
The event will benefit the Central NH Bicycle Coalition and will fund bicycle sharing and complete street projects in the Greater Concord area.
Donations are being accepted now through Friday, June 26. Consignment drop off is Friday, June 26, 9am-8pm.
Sale hours: Saturday, June 27, 9am-5pm & Sunday, June 28, 10am-12pm
Bikes (if not sold) and/or checks to be picked up Sunday, June 28 1-5pm. (Not responsible for bikes not picked up on Sunday)
Donate a bike or consignment for 25/75. All profits will go towards the programs mentioned above.
